Who is Creed?
The American rock band Creed came together in Tallahassee, Florida in 1993. While its membership has changed over time, Creed’s best known roster is Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips. The band was among the most commercially successful groups of the 1990s. Marshall left the group in 2000 and Creed fully dissolved in 2004. By that time the band had released three albums. The members, including Marshall, reunited in 2009 and released the album Full Circle. Much of the band’s music draws on ideas connected to religion and faith, but while members are Christian they do not consider themselves to be a Christian music band.
