Selah Sue is a self-made singer songwriter from Belgium. Born Sanne Greet A. Putseys in 1989 she learned to play acoustic guitar at 15. Her self-titled debut album was a major success with over 700,000 sales in Europe. Her breakthrough year was 2011 featuring the success of the hit singles "Crazy Vibes", "Raggamuffin", and "This World". Her hit from the album contains the duet with Cee Lo Green, entitled "Please". She won the European Breakers Award that year and also won the EBBA Public Choice Award. Singer Millow noticed her and asked her to perform a demo for him but she stuck to her guns to sing her own songs and it was a very good decision.
Let's admit it, it's kinda a stereotype, artists with a guitar' belt on their shoulders, often refer to "summer" in the past, and as a symbol of all that good stuff that happened during the past. You know, the typical story, the very first love, the hanging around with friends, the lack of concern, the chilling. This line is somewhere near it. A bit don't you think?
