Who is 21 Savage?
21 Savage (Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, born October 22, 1992) is a hip-hop artist from Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in London and moved to Atlanta with his mother when he was seven years old. After releasing two mixtapes in 2015, he became prominent after collaborating on the Metro Boomin-produced collaborative EP Savage Mode (2016), which went to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and included top 40 singles "X" (featuring Future) and "No Heart." 21 Savage also featured on Drake's 2016 song "Sneakin'." The following year, in January of 2017, 21 Savage signed with the record label Epic Records.
21 Savage's album, Issa Album (2017), debuted topped the U.S. Billboard 200 at number, and its lead single "Bank Account" rose to the number 12 spot on the Hot 100 charts. 21 Savage's music is primarily autobiographical, focusing on his unlawful and violent past, including murder and drug dealing. He is recognized for his unique "tyrant of the underworld" monotone drawl vocally.
