Counting Crows is an American rock band from Berkeley, California, formed in 1991. The band consists of Adam Duritz (lead vocals, piano), David Bryson (guitar), Charlie Gillingham (accordion, keyboards), Dan Vickrey (lead guitar), David ImmerglÃ¼ck (guitar, banjo, mandolin), Jim Bogios (drums) and Millard Powers (bass). Counting Crows gained popularity following the release of its debut album, August and Everything After (1993), which featured the hit single "Mr. Jones".

Again, Spain is a metaphor. It's about moving on to different things and people all the time. Not being happy with a person for a long time and so, consider every new person a "vacation" a way to be with someone to forget the worries that are already there due to other things. In the song there are alternations all the time between somewhere new and someone new. That says a lot. And Spain is also seen as an idea that could be there when things get boring, not all the time.
