Daniel Dewan Sewell, Dee Luciano
Born Daniel Sewell on March 16, 1981, Danny Brown is a hip-hop artist from the Dexter-Linwood area of Detroit, Michigan. Danny is an unconventional hip-hop artist who employs multiple flows and cadences, thus the moniker "The Hybrid". His style varies from low pitched gravelly tones to a manic, high-pitched squawk. His lyrics often deal with the truth of living in Detroit: poverty, drug abuse, desperate circumstances, etc. and his own experiences in the motor city, from selling drugs to underground parties in Detroit's rave scene.

Dark, truthful rhymes, twisting your mind by bringing you face to face with the facts, how things work and where they can lead you if you don't play this game the wise way and take it easy. Words that are spitted out violently, reaching our ears rapidly, like cold water on our backs by an exceptionally fearless voice.
Not a regular drug-related hip hop song. Fortunately there is Danny speaking about the other side of the things than only praising the hours he's spending being high. True words by a real artist, where he started from, how he's holding on but also acknowledging that he can't go back to the starting point because of any kind of habit. Once more, well done.
