Biography
Singer Richard Patrick and guitarist Brian Liesegang formed the industrial rock band Filter in 1993 in Cleveland. Their debut album, Short Bus (1995), went platinum thanks to the popular single “Hey Man Nice Shot.” Following a hiatus while Patrick underwent rehab for drug and alcohol abuse, the group reformed and released Anthems for the Damned in 2008. Through various line-up changes, Patrick, a former touring guitarist with Nine Inch Nails, has remained the only constant band member. Filter’s sixth studio album, The Sun Comes Out Tonight, was released in 2013. Patrick has announced plans for a seventh album.
