Flamboyant French rocker Luc Lemay came up with his brainchild the technical death metal band Gorguts created in 1989 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. He teamed up with the other original band members were Sylvain Marcoux (guitar), Éric Giguère (bass guitar) and Stephane Provencher (drums). They released their demo in 1990 entitled "And Then Comes Lividity", which ended up getting them signed to Roadrunner Records. They followed this up with their first album, “Considered Dead” featuring James Murphy. Their second album, released in 1993 was a technical and experimental album called “The Erosion of Sanity”.
