Who is Pink Floyd?

Pink Floyd was a British rock group that came together in London in 1965 and continued to record and tour until 1994 despite tensions and changes in membership. Its founding members were Syd Barrett, Mick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright. Dave Gilmour joined later. By 2013, Pink Floyd had sold more than 250 million records worldwide. In total, the band released 15 studio albums, three live albums, four box sets, eight compilation recordings, one extended play and 27 singles. Respected for their psychedelic and progressive sounds, Pink Floyd is among the most successful and influential bands in recent music history.
