Jonathan “Jon” Bellion was born on December 26, 1990 in Long Island, New York. He is known as a successful solo pop and rap artist who’s also collaborated with major names in both genres. He wrote the chorus to the Grammy-winning Eminem song “The Monster,” which featured Rihanna. Bellion was featured on the 2015 album True Colors by Zedd and on rapper B.o.B.’s track “Violence” on Psycadelik Thoughtz (2015) Bellion has repeatedly named Kanye West as his biggest influencer and has said West was the reason he dropped out of college to work on his music career.

I think this song is about basically a f*ck boy that is realizing that what he is doing is not him its what society is telling him guys are like nowadays and how they are supposed to act in order to meet a certain standard. He's not afraid to sound desperate, and or be himself for this girl who finally made him wake up. He has been subconsciously afraid of what society would think of him if he were to go against the grain, and love only one girl truly.
