March 27, 1990 in Hamilton
Hamilton, New Zealand
Kimbra born 27 March 1990 as Kimbra Lee Johnson Zottola is a local girl of Hamilton, New Zealand. Her style is writing a fusion of jazz and soul although her five year career has already touched on R&B and modern electropop influences. Think Bjork or Jeff Buckley. A child prodigy she sang the national anthem when 12 in front of 27,000 people for the Auckland vs Waikato NPC rugby final. She is probably bet known for featuring on the globally viral smash "Somebody That I Used to Know" 2012 platinum track by Gotye.
Two voices in this song, two aspects of the same situation. A relationship falling apart, she's ready to move forward, he's still there, wondering whether there is still something keeping them together or it's all gone up in smoke. My guess is that wandering limbs (and eager hands) probably refers to the third person in this, her lover probably.
What this song is about is not a secret, meaning is obvious and simple. Kimbra describes the way till the first move to be with somebody, the anticipation and the expectations in a few words. Simplicity is beautiful and beauty is in the simple things they say. True!

She has married this guy who she thought was the one in every way and she wanted to have a family with him, the house, all that many people want. The american dream projected in a person. And he cheats on her with another woman. All she has left to do is not leave, like many would, but ask a wish to a star and pray that he will choose her and not the other woman.
