Biography
Lou Reed (March 2, 1942 – October 27, 2013) was born Lewis Allan "Lou" Reed and fondly remembered as influential front man of The Velvet Underground. Although not commercially successful the group gained a cult following and their origin albums are much sought after. Reed began a solo career in 1972 and had a hugely successful album "Walk on the Wild Side" the following year. His deadpan lyrics and delivery were his moniker and he spawned other famous albums such as “New York”, “Berlin” and “Transformer”.
