Metallica has been through several bassists, including Ron McGovney, Cliff Burton (who died in a bus crash while the band was on tour), and Jason Newsted.
Thoughts on Songs with Metallica
A clear reference to Hemighway's novel, which goes by the same name; it's a novel about warfare and all kinds of shame and humiliation all men participate in it experience. given that "Ride the Lightning" it's an album people get into in a relatively young age, it can become the first incentive το Hemingway, before Hemingway himself.
Well, I don't think anybody really understood what Metallica tried to accomplish with St. Anger's raw and primitive production... In terms of music though, it includes some spectacular tracks, like "Frantic" here, a title which stands perfect for its content! It's about a person who suddently realises that something went wrong along the highway of his life, and the result was that he now is... Frantic!
