US pop rock group
Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden formed the rock group MGMT in 2002 while attending Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. The group's debut album, Oracular Spectacular, has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide since it was released digitally in October 2007. Their second album, Congratulations (2010), diverted from MGMT's synthpop style and went for a more guitar-driven sound. They then released MGMT in 2013 and are working on a fourth major label album release. The group has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2010. They've won one, for a remix of "Electric Feel," in 2009.
Thoughts on Songs with MGMT

Some may say this is ironic but, it's really not. The key word here is "Pursuit". On Monday Kid Cudi checked himself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges. Although the song is about happiness you can feel the struggle. Even in the tone of how he sings it sounds a little sad. I guess he has always been searching for happiness and thought he would get it once he became successful but, "Everything that's shine ain't always gonna be gold (hey)"

This is about all the people that think they're living the big life since they became famous, it's a parody of the lifestyle of the celebrities. Apparently they miss the simple and common things in life but still they have to pretend and live how everybody is expecting them to live like.
