Biography
Ministry was an American industrial metal band from Chicago. Led by British-accented frontman Al Jourgensen in 1981 they started out as a new wave synthpop outfit which they disliked in later life. Ministry turned to an industrial metal sound in the late 1980's. They began to find mainstream success especially with the album Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs (1992). After 27 years of performing Jourgensen quit but after a 3 year lull they reformed in 2011. They released their final album in 2013 after the passing of long time guitarist Mike Scaccia.
