Rihanna Song Meanings and Interpretations
I think this song is about a girl in a club who is working really hard to make a proper living, but she can't. She then finds a person (Played by Drake) who she thinks can help her. This song is like a (rhyming) conversation between the two privately while the party is going on. She is dancing for him while speaking to him and he sees her beauty and tries to help.

This song's so relatable. It's about that feeling you get when your angst builds up. You're tired of people misreading you, pushing you to the edge. With Kanye West's typical angry vibe, Rihanna's powerful emotions, and Paul McCartney's mellow strumming, this vibe is perfectly encapsulated.
I was a little concerned during this winter that the whole "50 shades of gray" hype would cause byproducts in the entertainment industry, regarding the S&M matter.... As I see it the movie was a failure, the book although a hit, can't reach mass audiences, because, well let's face it, this specific target group is a handful of lazy bums, so, there you go, salvation!
This song reminds me -and has nothing to do with the lyrics except the song title apparently- of a story I've heard from Steve Aoki who's keen at throwning cakes on his crowd. "I'm not even controlling the cake" he says, "the cake will choose those it will land on by its own will" he says.
Love love love and more love. Wanna kiss and candle? Hold hands by the moonrise? Fool around by the lake until you're at the movies catching some cheesy chick flick? That's your song, one problem might be if you're above 20 years old, you might prefer something less cliche, in other case: score!
Even if the only instrument you hear on the track is a simple piano, Rihanna doesn't leave her favourite mechanism in the world, the infamous autotune! (In my music map Rihanna has branded the use of the damn thing, all the way). Lyrically, this song is about a conflicted girl who's cheating.
