Like many mixtape rappers, ScHoolboy Q made a name for himself underground, releasing his first mixtape in 2008 combining social issues with pot smoker’s lyrics and sound. Three years later the Wiesbaden, Germany native formed the Black Hippy collective with Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock. Q released another mixtape in 2009, with his Top Dawg Records debut landing in 2011. In 2012, the collective signed with Aftermath and Interscope, which led to both Lamar and ScHoolboy Q releasing albums in the same year. Q’s darkest album, Oxymoron, was released in 2014, debuting at number one on the charts.
Thoughts on Songs with ScHoolboy Q

Very common experience this one. All these people around us, smiling pretentiously, being so happy that they see us, trying to be around to gain a little something out of it, while behind our backs they're digging our own graves, is what this song is against. There is for sure this point where you prefer to stay alone than to meet and to speak to these "everyday actors".
