The German rock and heavy metal group Scorpions came together in 1965 in Hanover, Germany. The band was its most successful with the lineup running from 1978 to 1992 when members were singer Klaus Meine, guitarist Rudolph Schenker, guitarist Matthias Jabs, bass guitarist Francis Buchholz and drummer Herman Rarebell. Scorpions have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. Their best-selling album, Crazy World (1990), includes the single "Wind of Change," a song that sold more than 14 million copies. In total, the band has released 18 studio albums and 27 compilation albums. Six Scorpion singles have reached number one in various countries.
That's why I love old rock songs, it's the little things. Those that today's kids cannot relate to. Today there's an average of 8-10 software and Social Media platforms which can be used in order to reach a person. What's the big deal if you call them and the line ain't free? Text them. No responding? Skype them. Message them on FB. On Twitter. On Instagram. On Snapchat. And so forth.
A perspective which this song can be viewed, is that Scorpions are singing about the possible power that everyone of us holds, to make a slight change in this world. Perhaps it's true, you don't need to be a man of authority to make a significant change, all you need is will.
