Slipknot Song Meanings and Interpretations

It's the darker side of attraction and addiction. particularly in this song between a younger girl and older guy. In the video she's represented in black and white and in a fight with herself. Good and bad logic and emotion. He caters to her darker destructive side. He sees himself as the monster the provoking circumstance. But he's clever enough to realize it isn't completely true. She strokes his ego and she enjoys the control. He sees how it can never be but he's empathy needs rewarding with her love but he'll never obtain it. When you're the beast you seek beauty and when you're beautiful you want a taste of the beast. That's their attraction. And it's clear who wins.
I've had this conversation so many times, take a minute and thing, in the last years of your life how many new friends have you made? Or even worse, how many friends have you lose? I can't determine up to what age do we make our friends for life, the sure thing is as the years pass it's more difficult to do so...
This is awesome,it's super, and despite being my favourite track o the album, see how it's kickin in, with a line that everyone of us can relate. Fast blasting drumming and screaming those 3 things ("fire" is a metaphor of course) that we stuff our organism with, in order to make it through the day.
A mind-complex song, it's a song that remind me of some people of the "I know it all" type. Not in a mocking sense, you know some guys that always sit in the background of situations and all of the suddent you realise they have the most knowledge and information of what's happening, leaving you amazed by their observation on things...
This is a song about Slipkot, as much it is about Paul Gray, It's about the unity between the band's members, and although it's about the typical boring band concept (always considering their bond like a team's or like a family's) a light of thriumph is raising here!
"It's not enough to be intellegent, to act with intelligence" there's a saying. There are different kinds of clever people, on different levels, and half of them cannot find a way to apply their versatility on common life. Because they're missing the ingredient to link them with the mechanisms of reality.
