Who is The Everly Brothers?
The Everly Brothers, Don and Phil were born in Kentucky, with Don arriving on February 1, 1937 and his brother being born January 19, 1939. The two are known for their two-part rock and roll harmonies that incorporated elements of both pop and country music. The brothers tasted fame after joining with Cadence Records in 1957, where they released a string of hits. The band then moved to Warner Bros. in 1960, where they released their career’s major hit “Cathy’s Clown.” After a final hit in 1962, the two moved on to military careers, finally breaking up in 1973.
