Cole&#8217;s First Time Having Sex"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Alright, so my last <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyreka.com\/blog\/king-kunta-identity-and-the-defiance-of-black-predestiny\">analysis of Kendrick Lamar\u2019s \u201cKing Kunta\u201d<\/a> was pretty serious and dealt with some pretty heavy stuff. Relax, guys, \u2018cause this one is basically just about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyreka.com\/artist\/j-cole\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">J. Cole<\/a> getting a boner.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"J. Cole - Wet Dreamz\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eCGV26aj-mM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, the overall narrative of the &#8220;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyreka.com\/song\/j-cole-wet-dreamz-lyrics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Wet Dreamz<\/a><\/strong>&#8221; has more to do with the self-consciousness and tension of experiencing sex for the first time while feeling pressured to maintain the performance of the sexually illustrious, but there is also some clear and serious attention being paid to the classic <q>awkward surprise erection.<\/q>&nbsp;But, then, who hasn\u2019t met someone so wonderful that they take their breath away <q>make it hard for [them] to stand up,<\/q><em>&nbsp;<\/em>and thereby inspire a nocturnal emission (<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/data.worldbank.org\/indicator\/SP.POP.TOTL.FE.ZS\" target=\"_blank\">at least half of the world\u2019s population, that\u2019s whom<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I ain\u2019t Never did this Before<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The song\u2019s chorus echoes the overall theme of the song <q>I ain\u2019t never did this before know,<\/q><em>&nbsp;<\/em>in between Cole telling the story of his first sexual encounter. A tale as old as time itself girl next door in math class <q>with the fat ass pass[ing] notes<\/q><em>&nbsp;<\/em>that explicitly requests the intimate sexual history of a starry-eyed young man who then pretended to be a pro\u2026sex-having-person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">But Wait! A Twist!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The tragic comedy of life curdles and turns again. Cole\u2019s dream girl (gross) demands Cole <q>show<\/q>&nbsp;her his professional sex moves\u2014trade secrets, things like that. Cole complies, sealing the deal with a casual <q>sounds like a plan<\/q><em>&nbsp;<\/em>after a quiet moment of thinking of her nude and begging his teacher not to <q>make [him] stand up<\/q>&nbsp;because, unfortunately, this entire scenario has woken J. Cole\u2019s <q>lil\u2019 man up<\/q>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Day of Consummation Quickly Arrives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>J. Cole goes through the typical tense, self-conscious freak-out that young lovers experience moments before their first foray into Freak City (this is a fictional town)\u2014trying to convince himself that his p**** is going to be <q>big enough to f*** with<\/q><em>&nbsp;<\/em>and that it doesn\u2019t <em><q>bust quick.<\/q>&nbsp;<\/em>It\u2019s pretty interesting, considering that this song confirms that the anxiety of millennial virginity for men is mostly just <q>g******, I hope my p**** works like the other ones.<\/q><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thankfully, though, J. Cole\u2019s wet-dream-queen reveals in the final line of the final verse that she was also lying about being a professional sex person. Presumably, the encounter that followed was good for the two of them (good enough to write a hit song, which is a lot better than mine was), if maintaining a clear \u201cBUT WHO IS GOING TO FLY THIS PLANE\u201d vibe throughout.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alright, so my last analysis of Kendrick Lamar\u2019s \u201cKing Kunta\u201d was pretty serious and dealt with some pretty heavy stuff.
