Who is Capital Bra?
Capital Bra was born Vladislav Balovatsky on November 23, 1994, in a small town in Siberia, Russia. He and his mother moved around frequently, eventually settling in Berlin, Germany in the early 2000s. Capital Bra started rapping at the age of 11 and participated in Rap am Mittwoch in 2014, a German battle rap tournament. After releasing his first studio album Kuku Bra to minor commercial success in Germany in 2016, he released two more albums the next year that both peaked in the top 5 on German-speaking Europe's music charts. Capital Bra's fourth studio album, Berlin lebt (2018), peaked at #1 on the charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Capital Bra is now the most successful charting German act, with 22 number-one songs.
