After being in a relationship for over a year, I realized what this song was talking about. I used to be so confused over the contracdicting lines where she says “I hate it when you go I'm happy when you leave” and “Look for different results in the same space (same space) (How we gonna look so far?) How we gonna look for different results in the same space?” because I was still blinded by the honeymoon phase. After a year, I realized she was saying their love will never improve if they don’t fix the issues their having at that moment. They will continue having the same issues if they keep repeating the same cycles. They won’t improve being in the same “space” or in other words the the toxic environment they’re in.
