Who is Eluveitie?
Eluveitie is a 'folk metal' band originating from Winterthur, Switzerland. The founding member of the band is Christian 'Chrigel' Glanzmann. He decided to upgrade his solo studio work into something more substantial, so he went and hired nine more musicians. This was back in 2002 and their first EP, "Vên" soon followed in 2003. They are self-labeled as "The new wave of folk metal". They then completed a full-length album called, "Spirit" in June 2006. In November 2007 Eluveitie was signed up by record label Nuclear Blast. A new collaboration called, "Slania", was released in February 2008.
