Paul Carrack Overview

Paul Carrack was born in Sheffield, England on April 22, 1951. The keyboardist and vocalist first saw success with the group Ace, releasing a hit single in 1972 that made it to number three in America and broke into the Top 20 in Britain. After the group broke up in 1977, Carrack joined Roxy Music. His solo album, Nightbird, was released in 1980, with the artist joining Squeeze soon after on keyboard. He released another solo album in 1982, and then joined with Eric Clapton. He then went on to join Mike + the Mechanics, and bounced between them and Squeeze for several years. He released his final solo album in 2012.
