The heavy metal band Ratt came together in Hollywood, California in 1976. The group had major commercial success in the 1980s with albums reaching gold, platinum and even multi-platinum status. Their biggest singles were "Round and Round" and "Lay It Down," which both cracked the Billbard top 40. Ratt has been recongized as a major factor in the rise of the Los Angeles glam metal or hair metal scene of the 1980s. In 1991, Atlantic Records released a greatest hits compilation. Soon after members began to persue other projects and Ratt fell apart. Then in 1997 it came togeter again.

To me this seems to be about Ratt facing obstacles in his life and realizing that the biggest obstacle is himself. I think at this time we were in the early 90's and the hair metal era was winding down. Ratt was trying to get by and attempting to keep doing what they do. This song was on the Point Break soundtrack and plays at the end of the movie during the credits. It's incredible!
