The Naked and Famous is an indie electronic band originally from Auckland, New Zealand and now based in Los Angeles. Its members are Alisa Xayalith, Thom Powers, Aaron Short, Jesse Wood and David Beadle. The group released its first studio album Passive Me, Aggressive You in 2010. That was followed by In Rollings Waves in 2013. The band derives its name from the Song “Naked and Famous” by The Presidents of the United States of America. Songs by The Naked and Famous are often used in popular TV shows, including The Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl.
