I think its about two different people. One is very happy while the other one is very depressed and possibly suicidal. This explain the line two hearts beating one beats the other while the other one looks away. But at the end of the day when they go home they're both extremely unhappy, this explaining the line two hearts dreaming nightmares together leaving nothing more nothing left to say.
