I think its about him talking about a girl or memories of a past girlfriend and hes trying not to think about her = "To keep myself from second guessing." and there both looking at ceilings but in different places, meaning= He wishes he can spend one more day with her.
Maybe a guy or even one of the band members had a girlfriend. She randomly walks out of his life all prettyed up ("power in your hair") and the guy is confused and sad and alittle frustrated about the situation. So he gives up. Like "After Everything."
