The Black Keys Overview

The rock duo The Black Keys came together in Akron, Ohio in 2001. Its members are singer and guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. The band's sound draws heavily from blues artists such as Robert Johnson and Junior Kimbrough. Their debut album, The Big Come Up, was released on an independent record label in 2002. After released their third album, Rubber Factory (2004), The Black Keys singed with Nonesuch Records. Their popularity continued to grow over time. Their 2010 single "Tighten Up" became the band's first song to make it onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They released the album Turn Blue in 2014.
