I feel like the chorus is about how he is sad that he is in love because of his depression, he feels like he might let down his love because of suicide or something of the like. While in the verses I feel like the introductory lines are explaining his instability, questioning whether or not he will make it to tomorow. The other lines about pushing or pulling till it hurts brings it all back to how anything or everything potentially sets his depression off. Overall I think it's a song about bi-polar disorder and feelings of depression and anxiety. Just my thoughts, either way it hit me right in the feels.
