A king offers survival to a one of the poor people. That person refuses and when the king says that it's really not that hard, the person tells him how does he have any idea of that? it's rebellion against the higher power. The powerful decide for the town without having an idea on the conditions of living, and the people from the town choose to die without the approval of their king than to continue living like that.
