Honestly I thought it had more to do with the spiritual or an almost religious theme. He says he cannot see because of the thong between his I eyes. We are all waiting to set sail on a sea of joy or love . But because of the thorn between our eyes we cannot see the Sea of joy. This sea of joy can be God or a cosmic Ocean of humanity all love.
