Kings of Convenience profile

Kings of Convenience

Kings of Convenience Overview

Kings of Convenience is made up of Eirik Glambaek Boe (November 21, 1975) and Erlend Oye (October 25, 1975), both from Bergen Norway. The folk duo is best described as Indie pop, with a sound that highlights their calm voices with delicate tunes and intricate, acoustic guitar melodies. KOC started in 1998, and gained the attention of the American Kindercore label in 1999. Their first album was released in 2001, with a similar release later that year. After a brief break, the two released another album in 2004, with another and perhaps final album dropping in 2009 as both artists are touring with other bands.
