Juana's Outro Lyrics

Our will to fight for our right to stay in San Francisco
Is stronger than the forces of money and greed
This is a pivotal moment in the history of San Francisco
We live in a city where there are currently
More than three thousand students who are homeless in SFUSD
We live in a city where Ellis acts evictions displace the elderly
And leave us with the lowest population of children
Than any other major city in the US
We live in a city with the lowest population
Of Black people than any major city in the US
Outside of post hurricane Katrina
Time is ticking for the remaining families here
We need affordable housing
Not luxury condos
Since fourteen ninety two it's been the same
Money motivated land grabbing and cultural appopriation
These are the symptoms of capitalistic development
Where our city government chooses profit over people
This Board has fueled the problem
By systematically and historically divesting and neglecting our communities
For generations
By handing out million dollar tax breaks to corporations
By criminalizing the poor and homeless
Constantly threatening rent control
And even taking money from realtors to fund political campaigns
Let me remind you you work for us
There is not time for selling out
You are either with us or you are against us

Our will to fight for our right to stay in San Francisco
Is stronger than the forces of money and greed
This is a pivotal moment in the history of San Francisco
