Who is Santana?
Carlos Santana formed the Latin rock group Santana in San Francisco, California in 1967. The band gained broad attention with a performance at Woodstock in 1969 that helped make the group’s debut album a hit. That was followed by success with the follow-up albums Abraxas and Santana III. Santana had won eight Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards. They are considered one of the best-selling groups of all time, having sold more than 90 million records worldwide. Following a hiatus, Santana released the phenomenally successful album Supernatural in 1999. In 2016, the group released Santana IV.
