I think the "Star Girl" in this song is actually an insult, calling a woman who thinks she is always the "star of the show" a "star girl." I don't think it has anything to do with space or outer space at all.
Star Girl
Lyrics
She was never in this world. I saw her bouncing and she floats away. Well, she was lost. But often found somewhere else along the way.
Well, she's a Star Girl. Star Girl. Oh, wind her up, there she goes.
She told me she could save this world with just a smile and a high-cut skirt. Above her knees. For all to see when she gave the girls a twirl.
Well, she's a Star Girl. Star Girl. Oh, she was born to steal the show. Star Girl. Star Girl. Wind her up, there she goes.
I tried to hold her next to me but she was pixie dust and ecstasy. She'd take a chance if you could dance or hum along faithfully.
Well, she's a Star Girl. Star Girl. She was born to steal the show. Star Girl. Star Girl. Wind her up, there she goes.
