Gather round and heed my tale
As I relate to you the account
Of an unsound and delusional mind
Unable to distinguish between fact and fabrication
Brought into this world as a pious brood
Always lingering in the shadow of divinity
A corrupting congregation robbed him of sanity
Leaving him a puppet trapped in a poisonous prison

Before long the supposed light turned to darkness
As all the angels fell, the demons took hold

In every shadow, around every corner, under each bed
And behind every smile of his fellow man
There lurked traitorous forces of lies and temptation
Insidious spirits biding their time, malevolent entities

He fended them off to the best of his ability
Being plagued by hate soul tainted with depravity
All efforts ended in failure he saw no other way
Than to surrender to a higher power

And so he embraced the teachings imparted onto him since birth
Became a man of God in order to find refuge from his fiends

Somewhere along this newfound path is where we met
And he told me how he replaced his misconception
Whispers of devils became the voice of God
And to this day he walks this earth telling his story
