I'm sure everyone reading this has felt the feeling of uncertainty and insecurity at least at one point in their relationships. Well, this song in my opinion is addressing that exact emotion. James Black is the person with the uncertainty and fear that his significant other does not think about him as often as he does. The most repetitive lyric is "do you ever think about me?", which is clearly reflecting his emotions. He says that he hopes that this relationship is two way, but he fears that is not the case.
